Scene 1: In the Classroom

On a rainy day, Class 4D is having an English lesson.

Mr Lau	(Facing the class and raising his tone) Class, turn your book to page 2.  You need to act out the script and I’m going to choose the members for each group.
Students	(Shouting loudly) Oh no, we want to choose the group members by ourselves.
Mr Lau	(Strictly) Keep quiet!  Lucy, Kelvin and Sue, you' re in the same group.  You' ll act first.
Lucy	(Angrily, pointing to Kelvin) I don’t like to work with you.
Kelvin	(Standing up and clapping his hands) Me too!  I don’t like you.
Sue	(Politely) Never mind, we’re all friends.
Mr Lau	Lucy and Kelvin, don’t waste our time.  You two stand at the back.  Group two, it’s your turn.
(The two students stand at the back for the rest of the lesson).

A Thank You Letter

20^th April, 2012

Dear Mr Lee,

Thank you for giving us an interesting tour in the Space Museum.  We all like it very much.

It is our first time to learn about the Solar System.  The models of the eight planets were so beautiful and delicate that we all felt excited.  Also, we were amazed that the rocket and the space shuttle models looked so real and enormous. 

In the Resource Centre, you gave us time to read the books we liked.  We chose some interesting books about things like the space and the spaceships, the comets and the aliens.  The information was new to us and we enjoyed the reading time.  In the centre, you also showed us how to search for the useful information with the computer.  That helped us to do the school project.

At last, you brought us to the IMAX Theatre.  We watched a fantastic movie about the earth, its history and the living things a long time ago.  It was wonderful!

The tour gave us an eye-opening experience.  We enjoyed it very much and hope we can visit the Space Museum again.

My Little Sister

My little sister loves me very much. 

She is one year younger than me.

She looks like a cute puppy;

as she’s got two ponytail bunches

which are like the long ears of the puppy.

Sometimes she is annoying.

as she stays close to me every recess.

Yet she is a very clever girl;

as she has got many awards in the competitions.
