A Poor Snowman

One winter, Dad and Amy wanted to make a snowman. They wore very thick clothes because it was very cold outside. When they stood in front of the door, they saw the white snow falling on the ground and it formed a thick layer. Dad and Amy quickly ran to the centre of the backyard and started to ‘build’ their snowman.

First, they rolled up a huge snowball which was the body of the snowman. Then, Amy rolled up a small snowball and it was the snowman’s head. Amy wanted to decorate the snowman, so Dad took a carrot from the kitchen for the nose. They also took a red, plastic hat and a scary, dirty broom from the storeroom. They put the hat on the snowman’s head and let the snowman hold the broom. At last, they drew the eyes and the mouth, as well as three buttons along the front. “Yeah! What a perfect snowman!” they shouted loudly and happily.

Suddenly, the sun came out and the snowman melted. “Oh no! Our snowman has gone.” Amy cried.

Dad saw the poor little Amy and thought of an idea. They quickly made another snowman and moved it back. Immediately, they put it inside the fridge, and jumped around the house joyfully.

At night, Mum wanted to take some ingredients for preparing the dinner. Mum was totally shocked. Mum punched the snowman because she thought it was a thief.

Mum scolded Dad and Amy angrily…

Angry Brocolina and the Angel

Later, the angel flew past Brocolina and said, ‘Brocolina, you must be kind and friendly to the animals, or else you’ll never be pretty.  Now, come and help the animals and you’ll be pretty like me.’  Brocolina heard that and said angrily, ‘No, you are telling lies.  I won’t trust you.  Give me some secrets which makes me prettier.’  The angel was sad and she whispered, ‘What an evil girl!  The animals are in pain, go and help them now!’

Brocolina ignored her and went back to her house immediately.  She got a sharp knife as well as her magic broom and went out, standing in front of the angel. Brocolina flew up to the sky with her broom and held the knife tightly.  She flew towards the angel and killed her with the knife.

Brocolina saw that the angel was dead and the ground was full of blood.  She was very afraid and helpless.  She waited until her mother came back.  The witch saw that the angel was dead and asked her what had happened.  Brocolina told everything to her.   She cried and held tightly her mother.  They both were very calm and were thinking about what to do.  Suddenly, the witch said quietly, ‘Daughter, let’s hide her body in the sea.’ 

The next day, they threw the angel’s body into the sea and quickly ran back home.  At last, no one had ever seen the angel anymore, except the sea animals.

A Scary, Haunted House

There was once an old and spooky house. No one lived in this house because everyone was afraid of it. People thought that this was a haunted house, so no one had the courage to go in.

Around the house, there was a graveyard with many gravestones. The weather was stormy, sometimes freezing and thundery, even when it was summer.

Some people tried to go into the haunted house. They slowly walked in with a torch and suddenly, “Ah!” a loud scary voice screamed out and all the people disappeared. No one knew where they had gone.
