A Girl with over a Hundred Dolls - Part 2

The other day, Amy bought a new doll back home. It was a beautiful Barbie with long curly hair, big blue eyes, and in an elegant pink dress. Amy loved the Barbie very much and put all the attention on her. While she was combing the Barbie’s hair, she said happily, “I’ll certainly buy you a handsome boyfriend and a pretty house tomorrow although they’re very expensive.  You deserve that!”

However, she totally forgot the other dolls which were placed inside an old box hidden under her bed.

Seeing and hearing what had happened, all the Barbies were very sad and the other dolls were very angry.  So, they united together and said strongly, “We must act according to our plan.  Otherwise, the problem of our mistress will become worse!”

A Girl with over a Hundred Dolls - Part 1

      Once upon a time, there lived a rich girl called Amy who possessed a lot of dolls. She did not care the old ones and kept buying the new ones.  She just placed the old dolls inside the cabinet and ignored them.  She never concerned the feelings of the old dolls. When she was ten, she had already got over a hundred dolls.

Her dad and mom were busy working parents so they did not spend too much time with Amy. To compensate, they always sent a large sum of money and let her buy whatever she wanted. Her parents did not realize the fact that Amy was spoilt and kept wasting money.  They just thought what they did could satisfy Amy.

      Altogether, there were five domestic helpers serving Amy.  Therefore, Amy never did any housework.  She always lay on her bed doing nothing.  When she felt hungry, some food was served at once so she was becoming even lazier day by day. 

Seeing the lazy mistress, all the dolls were dissatisfied with her.  They also hated her because she just cared about the new dolls and neglected the needs of all the old dolls.  All the dolls were very sad because they really needed the love and concern of their mistress.

      One night, when Amy was asleep, all the dolls discussed together and thought of a good plan which might change Amy’s personality.
